PACKAGING LEAD

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Packaging Lead is responsible for the day-to-day tasks it takes to

package high quality beer up to the standards set forth by Bad Weather Brewing, LLC.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Adhere to all SOP guidelines written by Bad Weather Brewing, LLC

-Adhere to all safety guidelines under OSHA regulations, SDS sheets, and Bad Weather, LLC.

-Operating and maintaining a Wild Goose 250 4-Head canning line including setup, filling, teardown, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.

-Operating and maintaining an IDD Squire Plus 2 Keg machine including setup, keg filling, and teardown, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs

-Operating and maintaining an HDP 2-head crowler/bottle filler including setup, filling,teardown, cleaning, maintenance, and repairs.

-Operating and maintaining a Dixie crowler seamer including setup, seaming, seam checks,seamer maintenance, and repairs

-Maintain cooler organization and monitor cooler/taproom keg, crowler, and bottle inventory

-Bi-weekly draft line cleaning and general draft line maintenance

-Maintain a very sanitary and clean work environment throughout the brewery

-Assist with general cleaning around the brewery including but not limited to sweeping/mopping/scrubbing floors. Cleaning tank exteriors.

-Prepare shipments. Load and unload deliveries

-Maintain and monitor all packaging material inventory levels

-Place orders with suppliers for packaging materials for upcoming canning runs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

-Ability to work safely and unsupervised around hazardous chemicals, hot water, pumps, steam,and pressurized vessels

-Ability to work in confined spaces and understand the Lockout/Tagout rule

-Ability to duck, crawl, kneel, and maneuver around pumps, hoses, fittings, and any other trip hazards

-Ability to work on wet floors and with wet equipment

-Ability to lift at least 55lbs and move up to 165lbs on the ground

-Ability to safely handle and use chemicals

CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

-Must be at least 21 years of age

-Extremely strong work ethic

-Flexible work schedule

-A passion for high quality craft beer

-Ability to maintain a positive working environment

-Ability to communicate and problem solve on the spot

-Forklift certification is recommended but not required. We can train on site

-Experience with Ekos Brewmaster computer software recommended but not required

-1-2 years of experience operating a canning line or bottling line is strongly preferred but not required

-Formal education of the brewing process is preferred but not required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

-Hourly pay at $18/hr

-Houry rate pay for special events like beer festivals or special events(i.e. Arcade Party) Lodging and travel covered if applicable

-10 days PTO at start. 15 days with 5 years at the company. 20 days at 10 years

-Under the St. Paul sick leave ordinance, workers accrue 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year. Can carry over up to 80 unused hours from year to year

-Medical coverage offered which we pay 50% of employee’s healthcare premium
