Our Belgian Golden Strong is hitting the taproom on our high pressure line today. Developed by the Moorgtat brewery after WWII as a response to the popularity of Pilsner, the Golden Strong resembles a Tripel only its lighter in color, lighter bodied, and drier. Aroma’s of pear, orange, honey, clove, and a light perfumy/spicy hop note. Flavors of pear, banana, light honey, soft pils malt, white bread, sweet alcohol and low bitterness. Very effervescent with a light bodied/dry finish.
Thank you to everyone that joined us for our third arcade party. We had a ton of fun and hope you did too!
Very excited to announce that we will be releasing a Keller Pils for our Outdoor Arcade, our first naturally carbonated unfiltered lager. Keller Pils or Kellerbier which means “cellar beer” is an unfiltered, unpasteurized, naturally carbonated German Pils. Brewed with Weyermann Barke Pilsner malt and a combination of Czech Kazbek and German Milltelfrueh hops. The beer is naturally carbonated thanks to another German technique called kräusening. We added fresh, young fermenting beer to the finished beer to achieve this. The tank is then capped off so the remaining CO2 created is absorbed into the beer. This gives a softer carbonation sensation on the palate. We implement a double decoction mash which is what Bavarian brewers traditionally will do. This gives us a fuller bodied beer, with a layered malt flavor. Kazbek hops give off a spicy character similar to Saaz along with some lemon and floral notes.

Clouds of Chaos will tap this weekend for the Arcade Party. Our newest NE IPA is a bit lighter than our previous one, Fog of War. Brewed with Pilsner malt, wheat, and oats for a soft, bready, cracker malt flavor. Lemon Drop, Rakau, and Waimea hops were used for flavors and aromas of sweet lemon, papaya, and stone fruit.
In addition to food trucks @pajaritostp and @parlourbarstp will be doing pop-ups at our Arcade Party next weekend. -Friday 3/10 Pajarito will be around making Carnitas Tacos -Saturday 3/11 Parlour will be making their famous burgers & hot dogs
Another returning beer for the Arcade Party is our Bohemian Pilsner. You might remember this one as Batch 200 Pilsner. It is bonkers good. After the Arcade weekend ask for a slow pour. Brewed with Weyermann floor malted Bohemian Pilsner malt and Czech Saaz hops. We implement a triple decoction for a soft and layered biscuit/honey malt sweetness. A 2 hour boil for color without adding any specialty malts. Czech Saaz that add a spicy, floral aroma. Then finished with 6 weeks of lagering to round everything out. Come back after the Arcade Party and ask for the Slow Pour Pilsner. A 5 minute slow pour. A method we use to force carbonation out of the beer for a softer, smoother Pilsner and also brings out more of the hop aromatics.
While we are tapping Golden Bramble at the Bad Weather Outdoor Arcade looks like cans of this Pineapple Wheat have started to make their way into stores this week.
Fog of War will return for the Arcade Party! This hazy New England IPA is brewed with ridiculous amounts of Citra, El Dorado, Azacca, and Galaxy hops with flavors and aromas of mango, papaya, pineapple, orange juice, and a subtle bitterness. It debuted last year for the Arcade party and we knew we needed to brew it again this year.
The incredibly difficult to brew Bavarian Helles lager is once again pouring at the taproom. It is a test of patience to brew this beer. Aromas of clean, cracker-like pilsner malt. Ever so subtle floral/spicy hop aroma. Bready pilsner malt flavor that is clean and slightly sweet, and a soft hop bitterness. Crisp, clean, dry traditional lager character that pours pale straw with a creamy white head and is brilliantly clear or stupid bright! Some will argue that it is the “Perfect Beer”.
