Family Friendly Oktoberfest

OKTOBERFEST + CROCODILIANS

We are once again teaming up with the Science Museum of Minnesota as well as Sustainable Safari, for a family friendly Crocodile Themed Oktoberfest. CROCtoberfest will be September 20th.

- LIVE GATORS!! Folks from Sustainable Safari will be out giving a demonstration with 3 different sized gators (and one Caimen). Roger, their largest gator (about 6-7’) will do a wrestling / physical therapy style presentation. (2-5pm)

- Mini-museum pop-up that shows off the wild and weird things crocodiles have done over their more than 200 million years on Earth. There will be lots of real fossils on display including ones that guests can touch. (12-5pm)

- Short presentation by Science Museum Paleontologists on "Weird Crocodiles of Ancient Times". Presentation by Dr. Alex Hastings, a paleontologist who has spent his career focused on the amazing crocodiles of the past. From horse-hunters to tiny gators to one he named after Tolkien's Balrog, it'll give you a new appreciation for how cool crocodiles are! (1-5pm)

West 7th Street is free unlimited parking

Please be observant of street signs when parking there’s a mix of free parking, 2-hour limit and permit only in neighborhoods.
