It is official! Minnesota has joined the 46 other states in the country that have a fossil as a state symbol.

We brewed a beer, Epoch Beaver Black IPA, w/ the @sciencemuseummn to raise awareness and push for the Giant Beaver as a State fossil.

The Science Museum of Minnesota has spent four long years working to get this passed, along with the help of many local institutions and passionate Minnesotans. It was a massive team effort, and Minnesota now welcomes the Giant Beaver as its state fossil. This 200-pound beaver was the clear winner of a vote the museum held back when it all started in late 2021. Now the largest rodent ever known from North America is officially emblazoned as part of our great state!
